Today, Jill and I went to the Centro Maya mall and ate breakfast in the food court. I had an English Muffin and Jill ate a bagel. We thought about going to the new Book of Life movie. It is playing at the Cineplex there. In the meantime we went to the beach and watched a beach volleyball tournament. We ate more peanut butter tortillas on a rickety pier and watched the waves roll in. The waves were large today. A gentleman was floating around and almost lost his red hat. We returned to the hostel and heard more stories of last night from Matt and Helen. Matt and I went to buy some face paints for the Dia de Los Muertos. A group of us are planning to head down to the playa where there ought to be some goings on this evening. We ate some fresh corn tortillas off of the conveyor belt at a tortilleria. They were the best corn tortillas I’ve had, they were warm and not crumbly at all. They were free as well and everything free is better. Jill and I had supper at La Cevicheria La Marina. We had fish tostadas and shrimp ceviche, it was the best we’ve had yet. Everyone should go there. We didn’t make it to the movie. Tomorrow we are heading out to Tulum.

Oh my goodness. You just can’t get away from those yellow Ford Focus cars! And hey, that looks like a VW Eurovan camper in the background!
Thanks for your daily newsy news – we love it.

That isn’t a eurovan. That is one of the collectivos. It is a toyota of some kind.
