Settling in to Our New Space

March 7 2020 Malaysia has a total of 93 cases so far.

March 5, 2020 It was the final day in our little airbnb condo. The next day we move to the big beautiful cave like ground floor apartment. We spent the 5th walking around the neighborhood, tasting mangoes, preparing for my new job, and preparing to move.

After we got into our new house I set up my studio in one extra bedroom and then moved into the next extra bedroom because it had better lighting. It was sink or swim videography but it was great to have so much space for it. Jill set up her teaching space in the dining room and our lives fell into a pretty regular pattern.

Our last evening in the Airbnb.
We started tasting all the varieties of mangoes we could find.

Jill spares a Garden Snail. These were everywhere especially when it rained.

The time zone was the same as China so the hours were easy to handle. Jill taught some classes in the afternoons on the weekdays. I had open teaching slots like 8 to 5 and I got a few students but mostly it was me waiting around to see if anyone would book me. It takes a while to get students. We had some free time still and on March 7 we went on a walking tour of the UNESCO World Heritage Site that is part of Georgetown.

Most of the old buildings looked like this. This one is bigger though.
