Tempe, AZ USA

This is Tempe in the summer. It is blazing hot outside and relatively hot indoors. It’s a little too hot for me. We’ve been here for one week staying with our friends Rob and Leah who just moved here from Norfolk. We stayed with them on our other road trip to Florida. Because of the heat we have been staying inside mostly. Jill has been playing with the Vitamix. Jill has fallen in love with the Vitamix, really. Jill ordered a nut bag to use with it. We went to the Frank Lloyd Wright house and school this evening and took a tour. It’s fabulous but expensive. We walked around the amazing Taliesin West. We saw the living spaces and some of the school. There is a fire breathing dragon and a bunch of Japanese porcelain dolls. The lines of the structures mimic the mountains I. The background and the whole place melts into its surroundings.

Tomorrow we head for the California coast and another KOA. We’ll spend a few days in Yosemite before going to meditate in the woods. This break has been great to recharge us for more travel.

Don’t do KOA! Didn’t I show you the Oh Ranger app that tells you all the parks/campgrounds near you? That’s how we found Kanapolis SP in Kansas.

Ulrika – sometimes we just want a place with a shower and WiFi and right off the interstate for a quick exit in the morning. šŸ™‚ KOAs offer a quick and easy place to lay our head.
