Jill and I moved from Surry Hills in Sydney to the suburb of Abbotsford today. We were in a dingy hotel and now we found a tranquil airbnb. We flew here from Adelaide on the 21st of November. Greetings from South Australia! Jill and I arrived about 21 hours ago. We had no luck finding couches so I booked a hostel before we left Melbourne. We spent Monday on a bus. It started out alright. Yesterday, Jill and I took the ferry across the Rip to Sorrento. We started in Queenscliffe with Jess and Katie and visited a few shops, then ran to catch the ferry and left them to thrift shopping. Yesterday, I awoke dreaming of this fruit bread that we purchased at the farmers’ market on Sunday. Jill said we were running out of oatmeal and I half jokingly suggested going out for breakfast. Jill and I went to Phillip Island on Monday. We stayed overnight in Melbourne last night and spent the day in Melbourne today. We took an organized tour to the island. It was quite fun. We got to see Koalas, Wallabies, and Penguins. We had some Trout fish and chips and I had some excellent island cheeses. The Koalas were sleeping in trees.… Read the rest

Yesterday was Saturday. Jill and I went for a walk to town, bought a sim card for my phone, took a bus to Geelong, had lunch at a vegan restaurant, walked around the park on the bay, took the bus back to Ocean Grove, walked along the beach back home, and watched a movie called 100 Yard Journey.
Now I have a phone that works in this country and no one in this country to call.

It’s Thursday in Ocean Grove. It’s been raining since last night. Ocean Grove is on the coast just west of the inlet to Melbourne harbor. Yesterday was rather delightful. Jill and I walked to the beach and followed it to town. The water is gorgeously blue and green in the sunlight. The beach is wide and sandy.
