Langkawi Island, Malaysia

We arrived here in the dark and stayed in a hotel room with 2 single beds. The breaker box buzzed all night masking a few marauding mosquitos. The next day we walked to a restaurant called the Red Tomato for breakfast. Jill discovered oatmeal on the menu and we both ordered it. It was hot the coffee was hot. It’s almost unbearably hot here. The Andaman Sea is like bath water. We walked a lot the rest of the day. We found a cute cabin to stay in. Then we sweated our way  back to the buzzing room to make the return trip with our heavy bags. Now we are ensconced here for at least 2 more nights. We went to the grocery store for soy milk All Bran and instant coffee. Next to three kinds of chocolate cereal was the All Bran. Well, we bought some bananas to go with it. Now to find some things to do here. We’ve been thinking of comparable places we’ve been to here. Jill thinks it’s a combo of Pine Island, Florida, USA and El Tunco, La Libertad, El Salvador. That’s pretty close. There are a lot of young adults running around amid fields, beaches, and construction sites.
