Yesterday, Jill and I went downtown. We took the ferry for the first time. It’s like a light rail with much better scenery. Then we walked across the harbour bridge and around Lavender Bay. It was idyllic. Everyone was out picnicking in the sun. We jumped on a train to Newtown to have supper at the Green Gourmet. We were recommended it by some excited Apple Store employees. The place looks like a typical Chinese buffet except that it is totally vegan. Jill couldn’t wipe the smile off her face. The food was great and I would eat it again. Disconcertingly though, it tasted exactly like the meat dishes at any Chinese buffet. Anyway, we headed back to the house and watched Clueless on TV. There is always at least one entertaining movie on TV every night.

Thanks for your daily reports, Martin! It’s fun to know what you’re up to from day to day. Do you start housesitting tomorrow? If you can email the address maybe we can send you and old fashioned handwritten note!
    Love, Mom
