Jill and I went to Phillip Island on Monday. We stayed overnight in Melbourne last night and spent the day in Melbourne today. We took an organized tour to the island. It was quite fun. We got to see Koalas, Wallabies, and Penguins. We had some Trout fish and chips and I had some excellent island cheeses. The Koalas were sleeping in trees. The Wallabies were foraging in some fields. The penguins were parading up the beach back to their little houses. The penguins delighted the few thousand spectators gathered to view their cute waddling. I wanted to pet several. Jill and I spent our first night in a hostel dormitory since at least Peru and maybe Mexico. I didn’t mind it too much. Jill isn’t excited to repeat the experience. We went to a couple libraries in Melbourne. The Victoria State Library had fairly good wifi and the Saint Kilda Library’s wifi was offline. They were not unlike libraries we have frequented all over the place. We also had two delightful meals in Melbourne. A vegan friendly place provided me some french toast and I got some excellent tacos at another vegan restaurant. Hopefully tomorrow we will make a more definite plan for seeing Australia, goodnight.
