3/26/2015 Lima, Peru

We’ve stumbled into Lima. Last night we were in Bogota. We happened upon a Sony Store there. Now we have a new camera and less money. It’s ok though, this baby will pay for itself as soon as we can train it to bartend.

We ate supper at a place Called Andres DC. It’s a wacky restaurant with five floors themed off of Dante. We were seated in heaven. We wearily found our way back to the hotel. This morning, Jill’s foolproof planning got us to the airport by bus with no leftover money on our metro cards. Bogota is funny because there are 3 or 4 debit cards to buy to use the entire metro system. We bought two during our stay.

We stood in line to check our bags for an hour. Then the airline quickly ushered us to the plane before we could get food and water for the flight.  I ended up buying some crappy wrap thing on the plane. It was to expensive and a little gross. Otherwise, the flight went fine.

We stepped off the plane into a warm Lima day. Since then we’ve been captivated by this town. We are staying at a hostel in Miraflores. It’s a relatively ritzy part of town next to the Pacific. We watched the sunset from a park on the bluff with surf and surfers crashing far below. We walked over to a vegan restaurant called El Almazen and had a delicious crepe based supper. I discoverd Lima’s craft beer which led me to their website. Furthermore I found out there is a Brewfest this weekend. I guess we’ve for something to do for a day.

Tomorrow we will discover a little more of the city. There will probably be more food as well.

Sunsets over the Pacific were missed
