Today was full of packing and eating. We fit what we could in our luggage and abandoned the rest to cubbyholes here and there. I burnt the oatmeal a little this morning while I checked into our flight to Cancun. We still ate it and the stuff that wasn’t burned was delicious. Jill put pumpkin puree on hers and loved it. After breakfast we packed and unpacked and packed again. For lunch it was delicious omelets on the porch in full sun. Mine was full of cheese and vegetables, Jill’s was just vegetables. They were perfect. After that I unpacked and threw a couple things out. Then we went to Cape Coral and bought a couple purple locks for locking things, it seems like something we may need. We went to Tony and Ada’s coffee because I promised Jill an iced coffee, she thought it was the best thing ever.

After  we returned, Jill packed her bag again and realized she lost the lock we just bought. Then we walked to get the new Eagle. The police blotter is very exciting with two drug arrests. Supper was an Endive salad with tuna on top, one of Jill’s specialties, and not to be missed. For breakfast Jill already made some oatmeal bars that we can eat en route. I’m excited to try the coffee in Mexico and Guatemala. I hope it is , at least, better than the Mexican or Guatemalan coffee that is everywhere else. We will probably have  a cup in the plaza of Playa del Carmen and watch the people go by. I wonder if it will be sunny like it is in the movies about Mexico, there is a chance of rain tomorrow so who knows. It’s a sure bet that Jill and I are going to have an amazing day. Now I have to go unpack my bag to see if Jill’s lock is in my bag.

The missing lock has been found!!! Apparently you packed both locks in your bag. Crisis averted.
