Today we were woken up at 6 AM but the unpleasant chirp of the fire alarm. The fire alarm is on the 20 foot ceiling and we have no ladder. That continued going off every minute or so until after 8 AM, a wonderful way to start the morning. I called the manufacturer and by the time they got back to me the chirping went away. We will procure a ladder when the opportunity presents itself and disconnect the thing. I was also able to get to the VIN lookup for the Honda van and confirm that it is indeed one in the recall. The local dealer has yet to return my call or, if I may, recall me. The new Eagle newspaper is excellent. We may be able to attend an Octoberfest celebration this weekend in Cape Coral. There is also a local shipwrecks presentation today at the Library that I’d like to see. I packed my bag last night and fit most everything in it, I think it will work for the purpose needed. Jill needs to do some rearranging to fit in her backpack though. Right now we are making some coconut milk. Jill explained the process on her blog

Coconut shell collection
Just a few of the coconuts we’ve consumed. We’ve probably had 3 times this many.
